Our Commitment to Accessibility

We Believe

The McCormack Baron Companies are committed to providing a fully accessible website experience for all users of all abilities, including those who rely on assistive technologies like screen readers, screen enlargement software, and alternative keyboard input devices to navigate the web. This website is designed to conform to the principles of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) 2.1 Level AA, which state that sites should be:

  • Perceivable – Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
  • Operable – User interface components and navigation must be operable.
  • Understandable – Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable.
  • Robust – Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Accessibility features on our website include and are not limited to:

  • Keyboard accessibility
  • Sufficient color contrast
  • Alternative text
  • Form labels
  • Text-zoom

Ongoing Efforts to Ensure Accessibility

We partner with advocates and 3rd party auditors at the Institute for Human Centered Design to guide our efforts and to determine accessibility. The standards of these advocates cover a wide range of recommendations and best practices for making content useable. As we add new pages and functionality to our website, all designs, code, and content entry practices are checked against their recommendations.

Website accessibility is an ongoing process. We continually test content and features for accessibility and remediate any issues.

This is part of our broader effort to make everyone’s experience with the McCormack Baron Companies a welcoming one. Please note that while we make every effort to provide information accessible for all users, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party websites to which we may link.
