New Markets Tax Credit Portfolio Manager
As Portfolio Manager for MBS Urban Initiatives CDE, Ms. Kamau manages intake, closing and compliance for her active portfolio of Qualified Low-Income Community Investments loans made by the CDE through the New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) program. She works with Qualified Low-Income Community Businesses (QALICBs) to structure their NMTC loan, manages the business side of the closing process and manages ongoing impact reporting, semi-annual certifications, and financial statements, and helps to prepare MBS Urban Initiatives’ reports to the Department of Treasury and to investors.
