McCormack Baron Salazar names Jerry Stone Director of Design and Construction

McCormack Baron Salazar is pleased to announce it has named Senior Vice President Jerry Stone to the position of Director of Design and Construction. Stone, who has been with the company since 2018, will oversee the company’s design and construction team and ensure construction quality assurance.

“Jerry brings a new level of knowledge to the company in design and construction and will lead efforts to increase efficiencies,” said Gary Buechler, Chief Operating Officer of McCormack Baron Salazar.    

Stone has more than 20 years of experience in development and construction. As Director of Design and Construction, Stone will direct and coordinate activities of the architectural staff and construction administrators to ensure that design concepts meet corporate and community-specific goals for quality, cost and completion time. His work will include coordinating with government authorities, site control and preparation, environmental assessment/remediation, public improvements, and historic preservation.  Stone will directly oversee cost estimation, contractor selection, and construction administration and play a leading role in value engineering to ensure that McCormack Baron Salazar is building the best product for the cost – furthering the firm’s mission to transform places into communities where all people can thrive.

Prior to joining McCormack Baron Salazar, Stone formed and led the Development Risk Management (DRM) division at a low-income housing tax credit syndicator and asset manager. The DRM team had oversight of all development, construction and environmental aspects of the company’s investments.

Stone received an MBA from Capital University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati.
