Renaissance Place at Grand LEED-ND Development featured in Neighborhoods Go Green Exhibit

Nov 18 2011 in Community News

McCormack Baron Salazar’s first LEED Certified Neighborhood Development, Renaissance Place at Grand HOPE VI in St. Louis, is featured as part of the traveling Neighborhoods Go Green Exhibit.

The exhibit is co-curated by the U.S. Green Business Council, Chicago Architecture Foundation, and Farr Associates.  The Neighborhoods Go Green! exhibit uses LEED for Neighborhood Development as a framework to discuss key elements of a green neighborhood.  The exhibit features text, photographs, and illustrations representing the features of a model green neighborhood, and showcases successful local projects.

Today’s popular culture often promotes sustainability with technological solutions, like light bulbs, hybrid cars, or green buildings.  The Neighborhoods Go Green! exhibit reveals the enormous potential of a whole neighborhood approach, and challenges visitors to think big.  Renaissance Place at Grand received Certification in April 2010, and McCormack Baron Salazar is the first developer worldwide to have completed two LEED-ND Certifications, which also included University Place HOPE VI in Memphis, TN.
