Flance Early Childhood Education Center Awarded $367,000 in Tax Credits

The I. Jerome and Rosemary Flance Early Childhood Education Center at Murphy Park was awarded $367,000 in tax credits on October 29. 2013 as part of the Missouri Smart Start Initiative to expand access to quality early childhood education opportunities.

As one of the six schools in the state to receive this award, the Flance Center will use the credits to ensure the quality of care offered at the Center.  The award also demonstrates the importance of the Flance Center model in state and national early childhood education improvement efforts.

Located at the heart of the Murphy Park mixed-income community, the Flance Center is scheduled to open in early 2014.
