Approaching Storm Notification: Louisiana Residents

August 27, 2012 | McCormack Baron Salazar

As of Sunday, August 26, 2012, the National Weather Service has issued a Storm Warning for Southeast Louisiana. Please monitor the local news and weather stations for up to date information on this storm. At this time, residents should implement their own hurricane plan and begin preparing their apartment for a potential evacuation.

It is advised for all residents to heed the warnings of government officials and evacuate the city if an evacuation order is issued.

Effective immediately, McCormack Baron Ragan Management Services will implement its Hurricane Preparation Procedures which includes preparing the property for hurricane conditions. After these procedures have been completed, the staff may not be available due to voluntary or mandatory evacuation in order to protect themselves and their families.

In the event of emergency, please contact your local First Responders or call 911.

If you have other extreme emergency or needs that are not addressed by local government entities, the non-profit Urban Strategies has set up a help line.  Please dial 1-877-330-2979 and leave a message and an Urban Strategies’ employee will respond promptly. In anticipation of the storm, the Urban Strategies Office in Louisiana is closing.

Updated reports from the National Weather Service can be found here.

Thank you for your cooperation.
