Mr. Martinez oversees the management of our HOPE VI/Mixed-Income portfolio for Southern California and Arizona.  Most of the units he oversees receive some type of government assistance such as HUD project-based Section 8 subsidy, Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity and tax-exempt bond financing. Mr. Martinez focuses on improving cash flow by concentrating on the operational cost side through negotiated and comparative cost analysis.

Mr. Martinez has more than 20 years of experience in multifamily affordable real estate asset management. Prior to joining McCormack Baron Ragan Management Services, Mr. Martinez served as Vice President of Asset Management for a nationally recognized Tax Credit Syndicator. Mr. Martinez has a diploma from Boston University’s Real Estate Studies Program and holds a bachelor’s degree from UCLA.
