Cady Scott Seabaugh, LEED-AP, Communications Manager and Sustainability Manager
Ms. Seabaugh serves as the hub of the communications across the company and with our funders, government partners, resident partners and the media. She is responsible for representing the voice of MBS in all public-facing enterprises, including public relations, new business development, funding applications, social and new media, and internal communications. Ms. Seabaugh also has special experience in Economic Impact Modeling, Geographic Information Systems, and as a LEED-AP, professional expertise in green building and neighborhood design and certification. In addition to her communications role, she serves as the internal sustainability consultant to several MBS projects, recommending and ensuring implementation of strategies and technologies to conserve energy, water and natural resources.
Prior to becoming communications manager, Ms. Seabaugh served as an associate project manager for Harmony Oaks in New Orleans, LA and worked with MBS’s Sunwheel affiliate to retrofit more than 500 kW of solar photovoltaic panels on existing MBS housing sites in St. Louis, MO under HUD’s competitive ARRA 2009 Green Communities Program. She also coordinated LEED for Neighborhood Development applications for both University Place in Memphis, TN and Renaissance Place at Grand in St. Louis, MO, both of which are LEED-ND certified.
Prior to joining MBS, Ms. Seabaugh served as the Marketing Director of a large retail carwash company, overseeing all areas of marketing and communications in 3 markets and at 15 retail locations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Yale University and is a Master of Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from St. Louis University, where she focused on public policy for urban revitalization and for transit-oriented development (TOD).
