Emily Baron, Associate Project Manager
As Associate Project Manager, Ms. Baron assists with the implementation of mixed-income and mixed-use projects, leveraging and securing project financing, and coordinating public and private partners. Ms. Baron’s current projects include the mixed-income, mixed-finance residential communities of Arlington Grove and North Sarah, and the Flance Early Education Center, all located in St. Louis, Missouri.
Prior to joining McCormack Baron Salazar, Ms. Baron worked at the Nathalie P. Voorhees Center for Neighborhood and Community Improvement while pursuing her master's degree in Urban Planning and Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. At the Voorhees Center, Ms. Baron assisted with an analysis of the Chicago Low Income Housing Trust Fund and an ongoing study of Department of Defense military base communities. Ms. Baron also worked for a number of years at the Community Development Financial Institution, IFF, where she was responsible for managing various consulting projects for nonprofits including financial planning and feasibility analysis, lease versus buy analysis and large-scale demographic analyses utilizing Geographic Information Systems.
Ms. Baron will complete her Master of Arts in Urban Planning and Public Policy in May 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Baron is a member of Chicago Women in Planning and Development.
