Jesús Antonio Bermúdez, Project Manager

As a Project Manager, Antonio works on the development of mixed-use, multi-family housing and transit-oriented developments from our West Coast office.  Mr. Bermúdez manages all facets of project development from conceptual site planning though design, construction, lease-up and operations.  His responsibilities include coordinating finance strategy, managing design and land use consultants and consulting with legal counsel for compliance with funding regulations.  Additionally, Mr. Bermúdez works with governmental and local elected officials as well as community stakeholders to ensure proposed developments are consistent with community priorities and their vision for positive redevelopment.

Currently, Mr. Bermúdez is the project manager for the Taylor Yard Transit Village, Santa Cecilia Apartments, Brooklyn Heights Apartments, and the Highland Park Transit Village. All four developments are transit-oriented sites within the City of Los Angeles and consist of affordable family rentals, affordable senior rentals, joint live-work units, for-sale townhome and condominium units and approximately 40,000 square feet of ground floor retail uses.  

Since joining the company, Mr. Bermúdez has assisted in various construction loan closings and has been the lead project manager in the entitlement of 571 units and 36,000 square feet of retail uses, the registration of Taylor Yard as a LEED-ND Pilot Project and in successful competitive finance applications totaling approximately $18.9 million.

Mr. Bermúdez joined McCormack Baron Salazar through a national fellowship program with the Center for Urban Redevelopment Excellence (CUREx) at the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his graduate and undergraduate degrees from UCLA and currently resides in Boyle Heights with his wife, Ana Rosa and daughters, Ana Cristina and Angelica Rosa.
