| MBS
is often called upon to bring expertise to seemingly intractable
development challenges in central cities. In the role of program
manager, we are engaged in several efforts that seek to transform
underutilized and neglected areas within urban cores into
dynamic neighborhood developments. These projects leverage public
investment in infrastructure and amenities into residential
and commercial development opportunities in a master planned
corridor or district. MBS is responsible for the conceptualization,
implementation, and marketing of these districts. In meeting
the challenge, we have collaborated with top architectural
firms to create a series of visionary master plans designed
to inspire the community to consider the possibilities that
living and working in a revitalized central city would hold.
Our program management approach builds on the local history,
architecture, and social context of a district. We blend the
significance of the past with the needs and desires of current
residents to craft a vision of a vibrant new living and working
environment.
Because we practice all the disciplines involved in program
management and development, and because we understand housing
market economics, we are able to apply an early reality test
to visionary ideas. Our clients value our ability to predict
the viability of a proposed development in the “real”
world beyond paper and planning.
